   This is an Amarylis from our backyard garden. I love how the scarlet red shimmers in the afternoon sunlight - it adds so much beauty and is one of my favorite additions to the garden. Thank you Tamra and Randy for sharing your garden "charms" with us!

   Yesterday, while I was too busy to notice the beauty around me jabo noticed this beautiful, amazing rainbow that occurred after only a few sprinkles of rain! We could not take our eyes off of the rainbow as it seemed to get more intense in color with each passing second until finally it disappeared. Without jabo I would have missed this most precious gift from God. I am reminded that sometimes it takes someone else to show you the wonderful things happening around you...thank you jabo!

Today Abbie and Grace celebrated

their 11th birthday!

sweet and special nieces!

Yes, you are both miracles!

To help make their school day special the

"Kitchen Witches"

convened and made strawberry-brownie

cupcakes with marshmallow icing. We have

made many concoctions over the last

few years, some dishes were really

good and others...well, let's just say

that Dad (Papa) was not a "fan"! But these are

AMAZING!

Abbie and Grace, our "Kitchen Fairies"

iced the cupcakes and also made

a double layer heart cake

for their birthday dinner...

what a fun afternoon in the loving,

warm kitchen of our

"Queen Witch"
